Best Bet

Sandown (Saturday)

Race 8, 1600m

Brayden Star ($4.40, $1.85)

Definitely our stable best bet for the weekend is Brayden Star ($4.40).

Second-up, getting over a 1600m trip, good draw, 55kg on his back, better race fitness.

Damien Oliver ticks a lot of boxes, he’s our bet for the weekend, I think he can win.

Race 5, 1600m

Simeon ($8.50, $2.80)

Led all the way down the straight at Flemington there the other day and just got caught on the line.

He’s a good solid horse that’s putting together a nice little record, he’s running well every time and he will run very well.

Top Bet

Sandown

Race 7, 1400m

He’s Our Bonneval ($4.60, $1.90), Pascero ($8.50, $2.80)

Both have been thereabouts without having too much luck.

Bonneval ($4.60) blinkers goes on for the first time, Damien Oliver on board will be very hard to beat.

Pascero ($8.50) has drawn a gate which will enable him to put them south in the race a bit more.

They both come down with a bit of weight relief, they both drop down 3kgs off their last run and can’t split them.

Perhaps He’s Our Bonneval just with the shades on first time.

Tip: Win
