Nature Strip – Australian Sprinting Legend

After spending the majority of his early career in Melbourne, Nature Strip finally found his home up in Sydney where he blossomed and became one of the greatest sprinters we’ve ever seen.

His legacy includes 3 TJ Smith victories, a nail-biting win in the $15 million The Everest and smashing his opposition in the UK against some of the world’s best, confirming him as the best sprinter to grace Australia since Black Caviar.

2019 – Biggest Star In The Galaxy

His first of 9 group 1 successes didn’t come easy and after breaking away from the chasing field at the 200m with a seemingly unassailable 3 length lead, he held off the fast finishing Pierata by a nose to kick-start his dominance at Group 1 level.

2021 – Summitting Everest

The much-hyped race of the Sydney spring had plenty pondering the match-race between him and Eduardo.

But it was Nature Strip showing tremendous gate speed to lead the field off the fence and bounded clear with just enough in the tank to hold off the fast-finishing Masked Crusader.

This victory would initiate a whirlwind 12-months for the star galloper.

2022 – Crowning Glory In King’s Stand

His high cruising speed mid-race was on full display here as he jumped fast seemingly under a throttle-hold before turning the screws on his opposition and demoralising some of the best internationals in Europe by over 4 lengths etching his name as one of the all-time sprinting greats.
