Flying Filly To Weave Her Magic At Coffs Harbour On Friday: Toby Edmonds

It’s Magic round in the NRL and a 3YO filly from the Toby Edmonds stable is also set to weave some magic at Coffs Harbour on Friday afternoon.

The stable has another top chance at good odds in the last on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday.

Best Bet

Coffs Harbour (Friday)

Race 2, 808m

Maroon Magic ($2.70, $1.30)

Let’s try and find a winner for the weekend, pretty tough weekend from our end although my best will be at Coffs Harbour in the afternoon.

Race 2 Maroon Magic ($2.70), number 3, I think she’s our best bet for the weekend.

Tip: Win

Best Value

Sunshine Coast (Saturday)

Race 9, 1600m

Opacity ($12.00, $3.70)

Last start winner, I think was reasonable odds as well.

Look he’s drawn terribly but Sunshine Coast barriers aren’t as important as say Doomben, Gold Coast, all the tighter tracks.

When you don’t draw a barrier, it’s nearly impossible but when you draw a barrier on the tighter tracks, it makes it easier.

Barriers on the Sunshine Coast, it’s such a beautiful big track, beautiful start, aren’t as important but you can still get caught with a deep run, you can normally get a bit of cover.

I think Opacity ($12.00) can run really well even though he’s drawn 17.

I think Andrew Mallyon will be positive on him, won’t be far away from the lead, maybe 3-4 lengths at worst and should find the line strong.

He’s draw the right barrier to get into the right part of the track, especially at the Sunny Coast where the rail is in the true, middle of the track is always best.

You always find the better going out wide, especially in the winter time when the track, with a lot of cold weather around, the dew, the track is just a little softer than normal.

So confident Opacity ($12.00) can run really well there.

Tip: Win
