With weekend runners across the country at Pakenham, Geelong, Morphettville, Doomben and Flemington, the Price/Kent Stable saddle-up a number of strong chances.
On a busy weekend of racing, the Stable’s best bets are at Pakenham on Thursday night and Flemington on Saturday.
Best Bet
Pakenham (Thursday night)
Race 3, 1600m
Macan ($13.00, $3.80), A Blue Star ($8.00, $2.60), Upwoods ($3.40, $1.50)
In a maiden we have three runners.
Macan ($13.00) will go forward, A Blue Star ($8.00) is a nice horse with a future, but he’s an import about six months behind, so think he’ll be better next preparation but I still think he’ll run well.
Upwoods ($3.40) will be the one to back in that race.
I think the big Pakenham track for Upwoods, a tricky horse, we bought him from New Zealand, he’s a nice little horse with a future.
So I would be thinking Upwoods will be the go there, probably roll forward.
Tip: Upwoods (Win)
Best Bet
Flemington (Saturday)
Race 7, 2800m
Andrew Ramsden
Hezashocka ($4.20, $1.80)
He was super at Mornington, I reckon 2800m will be no troubles for him.
Busy little race but I still think he’s a good each-way chance, bit of hard horse to catch for a win.
Tip: Each-Way
Hezashocka comes home strongly to win the VRC Members Handicap!@mickpriceracing @otiracing pic.twitter.com/3TSBXM98y0
