3YO In The Zone To Storm Home At Flemington On Saturday: Price/Kent

After a deepstrike at Sandown last Saturday, the Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr stable are ready to strike again this Saturday.

Feature racing in Victoria is at HQ at Flemington and that’s where the stable is headed for another big strike on the punt down the famous Flemington straight.

Best Bet

Flemington (Saturday)

Race 8, 2000m

Artzino ($4.60, $1.90)

This week our best bet is Artzino ($4.60, $1.90) ridden by that jockey Wiremu Pinn.

So, we get down to 54kg, the horse was very good first up, he flashed home.

When he got too far back at Sandown, he ran third in a good three-year-old mile and I’m really looking forward to seeing this horse up in trip.

It’s the first time we’ve gone past 1800m up to 2000m, he’s bred to eat it up.

The horse is going really, really well, I’ve ridden him a couple of times myself.

His gallops have been perfect, he’s in the zone.

So as long as we get even luck, I think he’ll be storming home and he’s very good value for a $5 each-way bet.

Top Tips

Race 2, 1420m

Blazing Harry ($7.00, $2.50),

He won his first start very impressively.

He meets this highly touted Paul Preusker horse called Steparty ($2.10).

It’s drawn barrier five and we’ve drawn barrier six with Blake Shinn to ride Blazing Harry and that’s a good thing in itself.

Blake can keep an eye on and maybe even follow the favourite into the straight.

Blazing Harry is flying really, really happy with him.

His two gallops since his win against an older horse have been sparkling, his recovery is perfect, he’s really going well.

I think he’s a very good each way chance again and I’m happy with him.

Race 5, 1420m

Party For One ($3.20, $1.55)

She’s going for three in a row at Flemington.

Blake Shinn has worked out the key to her, he gets her out of the gates.

He must have fantastic barrier technique that, you know, she was a mare who used to fall out of the barriers and put herself into non-winning positions.

Blake goes on, boom, she jumps out quickly.

So, so she’ll need to do that again, drawn the outside gate.

She goes up in weight again, up in grade, so a bit of a penalty to winning, but she’s in great form.

She’s really trained on well between runs and she can win again, we’re very happy with her.

Tip: Win

Race 7, 1620m

French Emperor ($5.00, $2.00)

The key to our horse’s winning chances are relaxing nicely.

I think looking at the speed map, he’ll have to roll forward if he switches off early and relaxes, he can finish off.

He’s a very consistent horse, he’s ran two seconds, his first two runs.

He is going really well again, he’s got an each-way chance.

Race 1, 1620m

Noyers (BT), Kelpie (BT)

Noyers, nice horse will roll forward and make his own luck and will appreciate getting to a better surface and Kelpie, just watch him go round, he’ll get back, run on.

He can run a place but more confident with Noyers.

Tip: Noyers (BT)

Race 4, 1200m

Spirit Of Nurai (BT)

She’s a nice each-way chance.

She’s second in both jump outs working home strongly, trying to get a nice run, good little race.

She’s a nice filly and again, worth having each-way ticket on her.

Tip: Each-Way
