Lightly-Raced 4YO To Close Out Strongly First-Up At Sandown On Wednesday: Adam Curkpatrick

Racing expert Adam Curkpatrick is all over a strong closer from the Maher/Eustace stable to salute at Sandown on Wednesday.

For his value bet, The Race Club expert is backing a progressive type from the Ben & JD Hayes stable.

Best Bet

Sandown (Wednesday)

Race 8, 1400m

Arnold ($6.00, $2.25)

Ex-Waller galloper Arnold ($6.00, $2.25) resumes under Maher Eustace on the back of two solid jump outs.

I’d expect he is forward in condition and does have a fresh figure above these.

Competed in much stronger company in Sydney, all but promising to go on with it.

He is still very lightly-raced, and although likely giving them a start, expect he is one of the better closers.

Tip: Win

Value Bet

Race 7, 1200m

Rheinberg ($5.50, $2.10)

Rheinberg ($5.50, $2.10) didn’t beat much in his Australian debut, however there was a lot to like how he progressed through the prep, kept at 1400m throughout.

Tipped out and resumes here on the back of two sharp jump outs, tracking deep and doing everything well within himself throughout.

Comfortable with 1200m first-up off that lead in work and he does look to get a soft run in the race.

Tip: Win
