A Godolphin star heads into Caulfield with a form and ratings advantage and The Race Club’s Adam Curkpatrick is all over the 4YO star to salute.
Best Bet
Caulfield (Saturday)
Race 6, 1400m
Brigantine ($2.50, $1.30)
Should be here right at his top fourth-up, performing well in Queensland in all three starts this time in.
He was deep and boxed on well last start, and I like the little freshen, coupled with a slight step back in trip.
A couple of others can improve, however from a form and ratings perspective, he is the deserved favourite.
Tip: Win
It's a Godolphin quinella in the card closer at @aus_turf_club!

Next Best
Race 3, 2000m
Artzino ($3.40, $1.50)
Plenty of merit in the run of Artzino ($3.40, $1.50) when second-up, stepping from the mile to 2000m.
He was caught behind sluggish fractions before making a deep mid-race move and boxing on meritoriously.
He was notably well backed after putting the writing on the wall first-up.
Now third-up, sticking at 2000m with his main danger, So Sleek ($3.40) inside and possibly needing luck.
That runner too, was very good, however I’m leaning to Artzino with this set-up.
