French Mare And Melbourne Cup Hopeful Lastotchka Lands In Melbourne For Price/Kent Stable

A special piece of cargo has landed on Australian soil for top trainers Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr.

Melbourne Cup-bound French mare Lastotchka landed in Melbourne on Tuesday night and the Price/Kent stable trainers couldn’t be happier.

As she stepped off the plane from London and Doha, the stable excitedly tweeted:

“French mare Lastotchka landed in Melbourne last night!”

Earlier this week, the stable said the 5YO was travelling well under the watchful eye of a stable assistant.

“Some serious Horse Power on this London -> Doha flight! We are pleased to hear Lastotchka is travelling extremely well according to our assistant Benjamin Elam who is with her every inch of the way,’’ the stable tweeted.

“Next stop…Melbourne!”

A late entry for the Melbourne Cup, Lastotchka won 4 of 12 races in France for trainer Jean-Marie Beguigne and is currently $21.00 with Unibet to win the race that stops a nation.

The 5YO was a Group 3 winner over 3100m at Longchamp in her last start.
