Sandy Prince ($8.00) appears to have turned a corner since a freshen, placing in all three runs and recording notable figures.
He won doing a heck of a lot wrong in the final furlong, yet still putting a 4.5L margin on the field.
Obviously, Saturday’s assignment is tougher, but I am happy to back him in, especially given the odds.

French Emperor ($5.00, $2.00)
He was very good first-up in a fast run mile and I do think he gets an ok cart into this.
Comfortable he sticks at the mile off that, with the only niggle being the weather, I doubt he wants it too far in the soft range, however I do think there has been more to his performances on affected tracks than meets the eye.
Green Fly ($5.50), on the other hand, will thrive in the going and did return well.
I think he is the biggest threat late.Â
