Friday night racing in Melbourne is at the famed Moonee Valley track and The Race Club’s Adam Curkpatrick is backing a flying 3YO filly from the Chris Waller stable to salute.
The racing expert’s next best is an impressive Kiwi who is well placed to resume on a winning note.
Best Bet – Moonee Valley (Friday)
KONASANA ($1.95, $1.30), Race 2, 1600m
Raced tight in the straight when first-up, before quickly stepped up to 1800m in a fillies race at Flemington.
She closed off well given the slack fractions up top and I think she is one of the better bets on the card.
Tip: Win
Congratulations to @DKepitis and @WoppittB on the impressive debut victory of their homebred filly Konasana.

A graduate of @CoolmoreAus, this @cwallerracing trained two-year-old looks to have a very bright future.#RaisedAndGrazed #Coolmore #HomeOfChampions https://t.co/luC6TaRJA2
Next Best
SANS DOUTE ($3.90, $1.60), Race 7, 1000m
From a set up perspective, the Kiwi looks very well- placed resuming here.
A couple of trials should see her quite forward for this and she trails what looks a solid enough tempo on paper.
I’ve got time for Frilled ($2.20), however the form hasn’t stood up since her win resuming and expect her vulnerable over the concluding stages, unless it is a hot rail.
Squizzy Mizzy ($14.00) is one to include in exotics.
Ever consistent, however some bigger upside on the others.
