Gallant Terrier To Relish Step Back In Trip At Sandown On Saturday: Adam Curkpatrick

The Race Club’s Adam Curkpatrick is backing a determined terrier to light up the track at Sandown on Saturday.

The racing expert is also all over a Busuttin & Young-trained 3YO filly to stay unbeaten.

Best Bet

Race 4, 1400m

Toronto Terrier ($3.90, $1.70)

Toronto Terrier ($3.90) was gallant off a freshen in the Sires Guineas, with the winner having a better cart into it and aided by the solid tempo.

Bodes well for Toronto Terrier coming back to 1400m under HCP conditions.

I expect slides across without issue and is the horse they all have to beat.

Tip: Win

That was dominant! 👊

Value Bet

Race 3, 1300m

Acquarello ($7.00, $2.50)

Acquarello was very good on debut, travelling at even sections, before sprinting and holding.

Second place getter came from off them and deep, with Acquarello being the outlier up top.

I believe bodes well for a slight step up in trip and is value to the current race favourite, Valiancy ($3.90) who has to again overcome a sticky draw and cart the big weight.

Tip: Win

It's a winning debut for Written Tycoon filly, Acquarello 😎
