With no metropolitan racing in Melbourne again, feature racing this weekend is in regional Victoria.
This Saturday’s racing is at Bendigo, a racetrack the Price/Kent Stable have enjoyed considerable success at and this weekend should prove no different.
The stable have a number of top fancies hitting the racetrack, so here’s a look at the stable’s best chances.
BENDIGO
Illation ($2.30, $1.24)
Race 1, 1400m
He’s one of the better looking entires you’ll see going around.
He’s a magnificent horse and we hold high hopes for him.
Of course, he won his first three starts, he’s back this weekend after a little throat operation which seems to have been successful.
I think it’s a beautiful race for him, drawn beautifully in barrier 4 of 9.
He’s 53 kg, any give in the track is a bonus for him and Beau Mertens gets the call up with a lot of jockeys up in Sydney or on the sidelines.
Beau knows him well, horse is going super.
Had three jump outs, he’s fit, he’ll be very hard to beat.
Tip: Win
Visinari ($13.00, $3.70)
Race 8, 1600m
He didn’t fire up in first up on a very firm track at Flemington and given the ground is key to his winning chances, being second-up at the mile will suit, he’ll go forward from the wide gate.
His price is about right, he’s an each way chance, place preferred.
Have him in your quaddie.
Tip: Each-Way
Saturday at Bendigo and Monday at Grafton 🐎
