A strong closer hits the track at Sandown on Wednesday and The Race Club’s Adam Curkpatrick expects the progressive 3YO Godolphin filly to be the one to beat.
Best Bet
Sandown (Wednesday)
Race 4, 1400m
Coriolis ($2.90, $1.36)
Was clearly the runner to put in the book from Sandown a fortnight ago and off that performance, there is no reason she doesn’t see a strong 1400m.
She put down clearly the better closing sections to the market second-elect Discerning ($5.00) and did so off stronger early fractions.
Soft winner and she can progress.
Tip: Win

Value Bet
Race 5, 1400m
Eye Of The Eagle ($11.00, $3.10)
There is enough in the price of Eye Of The Eagle ($11.00, $3.10), particularly off the last start figure in stronger company, to entertain a play.
He has been around the mark all prep and did suffer some adversity in run last start, boxing on soundly.
Drawn in with Jamie Mott taking over, he gives himself every opportunity up on the speed.
At double figures, he is the value play today.
Tip: Win
Up goes the Eagle 🦅
