A filly with a devastating turn of foot will be the one to watch at HQ in Melbourne on Saturday, according to The Race Club’s Adam Curkpatrick.
For his value bet, the racing expert has found some juicy value in the 5th.
Best Bet – Flemington (Saturday)
STRETAN ANGEL ($8.50, $2.80), Race 6, 1100m.
She is a very smart filly with a lethal turn of foot, showing a huge acceleration point in both her career starts.
She’ll be ridden cold and look to show that off again here.
It’s not a profile that I generally warm to, however she showed she is back as well, if not better off a break, going off the jump out, where she really motored when let loose.
No doubt a good race, but at the odds and the inferred upside, I’m happy to make her the best of the day.
Tip: Win
"And Stretan Angel is running wild in the Dequetteville Stakes."

Value Bet
MOJAVE DESERT ($9.50, $2.60), Race 5, 1400m.
Flattened out nicely in the latter stages resuming off a short let-up, and I like the Ceolwulf form line for this.
The race would have taken the edge off a touch, and now with the low draw, should get a nice trail in behind with the ability to work those to his outer through the early stages.
I believe he elevates this prep, and given the near-double figures available, he is the value here.
